Thanks to the subsidy from the IBE (Barcelona Sports Institute), the BISC will have a desalination station starting this year.

This station will supply desalinated water basically to the points distributed around the BISC beach and, if optimal conditions are met, to the BISC facilities themselves.

It is equipped with a system of solar panels that generate electricity to power the station and its equipment and be autonomous during the sunny hours. Otherwise and if production demand requires it, it is powered by the building itself.

The objective is to reduce the consumption of mains water and be self-sufficient in the event of water restrictions due to drought episodes.
